Will Liman be open source?+

Not today. Liman is how one developer pays for the time that goes into it. If that changes, it will be said here first.

Can my AI agent use Liman?+

Yes. Turn on AI Agents in Liman's settings and paste one command into Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. The agent then sees the screen, taps, types, installs builds, reads logs and changes device settings — and you can pause it from the badge on screen at any time.

Will Liman support iOS?+

Liman is built for Android today. If you'd use the same window for iOS simulators and devices, say so here.

What do I need?+

A Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 27, and the Android SDK's emulator and platform tools — the same ones Android Studio installs. Liman works with Android 11 and later.

Does Liman replace Android Studio?+

No. Liman runs, configures and tests emulators and devices; you keep building your app with Android Studio or your own tools. Both use the same SDK and the same virtual devices.

Does it work with physical phones?+

Yes. Connect a phone over USB or pair it over Wi-Fi to see and control its screen, type into it, share the clipboard, install apps and read its logs.

Can I support Liman before it launches?+

Yes, and it helps a lot. Liman is built by one independent developer; sponsoring productdevbook on GitHub, monthly or once, funds the work until launch.
